ARTICLE XI - TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES 

1.  The manner in which funds collected for a tournament are distributed shall be posted in the Ranch House Lounge on the day of the tournament.

2.  Tournament Formats 

2.1 Formats: All DRGA tournaments are 'Flighted' events. Flights are comprised of players with like handicaps. With the intent of equal division amongst the playing field players with the same handicap could end up in different Flights, the determining factor for the split in Flights is the decimal point of the players handicap where the higher decimal point going into the higher flight. The exception to this policy is the Major Net events where all team like handicaps play within the cut off point for that Flight.

2.2 Individual Gross/Net - Player plays their own ball through the entire 18 hole round according to USGA and DRGA local rules. Prizes are awarded for lowest GROSS scores and lowest NET scores within each tournament flight. These types of tournaments are Major qualifying events.

2.3 Two Person Combined Gross/Net - Two person team competition (no limitation between players handicaps) where each team player plays their own ball through the entire 18 hole round according to USGA and DRGA local rules. Their scores are added together for a total team score. Prizes are awarded for lowest GROSS scores and lowest NET scores within each tournament flight. These types of tournaments are Major qualifying events.

2.4 Summer Sizzler - To be played in either June or July. Two man team event (maximum of eight (8) strokes between team members if the stroke difference exceeds 8 then the player with the greater handicap will have their handicap adjusted down to meet the requirement) based on net score only. The first day will be a two-man best ball format, followed by a two man combined net format. 1st Flight maximum combined team handicap is 12 strokes. Prizes are awarded for lowest NET scores within each tournament flight.

2.5 Club Championship - To be played in September. The format will be a two-day individual gross and net event. The Club Champion will be determined by the player recording the lowest Gross score for the tournament regardless of flight. The President Cup winner will be determined by the player recording the lowest NET score for the tournament regardless of flight. Prizes are awarded for lowest GROSS scores and lowest NET scores within each tournament flight.

2.6 Fall Classic - To be played in November. Two man team event (maximum of eight (8) strokes between team members if the stroke difference exceeds 8 then the player with the greater handicap will have their handicap adjusted down to meet the requirement) based on net score only. The first day will be a two-man best ball format, followed by a two man combined net format. 1st Flight maximum combined team handicap is 12 strokes. Prizes are awarded for lowest NET scores within each tournament flight.

2.7 Pricing - Regular one-day tournament fees shall be $45 per tournament from November through May, and $35 per tournament from June through October. Fees for two-day Major Tournaments shall be $100 and include one lunch or breakfast, as well as complimentary beverages. These rates are subject to change by a majority vote by the Board of Directors.
